(DE) Elvan Sütlü (*2004, Lenzburg) ist Autodidaktin und lässt sich in ihrer Fotografie primär von ihrer Intuition leiten. Für sie ist die Kamera ein Mittel, um das reiche Innenleben und das Unterbewusstsein nach außen zu kommunizieren. Ihre Bilder sind Ausdruck von Gefühlen, die oft schwer in Worte zu fassen sind. Die Gewinnerin des U25-Preises bei Foto Münsingen arbeitet im Alltag als Betreuerin in einem Wohnheim für Menschen mit Beeinträchtigung.
(EN) Elvan Sütlü (born 2004, Lenzburg) is self-taught and is guided primarily by her intuition in her photography. For her, the camera is a means of communicating her rich inner life and subconscious to the outside world. Her images are an expression of feelings that are often difficult to put into words. The winner of the U25 Prize at Foto Münsingen works as a carer in a residential home for people with disabilities.

(DE) Die Serie „Surrender“ verbildlicht den stillen Prozess des Loslassens. Zu Beginn steht der innere Widerstand – der instinktive Drang, eine Fassade der Stärke zu wahren und Emotionen abzuwehren. Die Blume symbolisiert das Potenzial, das sich durch das Loslassen entfalten kann. Das Subjekt kommt in Berührung mit dem, was es zu verbergen versuchte – und findet im Aufgeben des Widerstands zu einer tiefen, friedvollen Akzeptanz.
(EN) The ‘Surrender’ series depicts the quiet process of letting go. It begins with inner resistance – the instinctive urge to maintain a façade of strength and to ward off emotions. The flower symbolises the potential that can unfold through letting go. The subject comes into contact with what they were trying to hide – and, by relinquishing their resistance, finds a deep, peaceful acceptance.
