For the second time, the international elite of photography will gather in Olten from 28 to 31 August 2019 to offer the public unique insights into their work. Among the distinguished guest speakers this year are the American photographer and Pulitzer Prize winner Lynsey Addario, whose unique life is made into a film by Steven Spielberg, and the Scottish photographer Harry Benson, whose photographs have long been amongst the most famous of all. Further highlights of the festival are the World Press Photo Exhibition "Iconic Images", which presents a selection of the most striking press photos of recent years in a unique exhibition. As well as an exhibition on Harry Benson's life's work, a retrospective exhibition full of iconic photographs. In addition to the lectures, workshops, seminars and portfolio reviews will be held. The latter are intended to give young photographers in particular the opportunity to discuss their work with the best in their field.

The 4-day event 2017 was established by the Swiss photographer Marco Grob, Paul Merki, formerly of Light + Byte, Creative Director Charles Blunier and photographer Remo Buess. All have been working together for over 25 years and have already realised numerous projects. The 2019 team: Remo Buess, Marco Grob, Linda Cina, Paul Merki and Christoph Zehnder.
