(DE) Sara Affolter ist Fotografin aus der Region Solothurn mit Schwerpunkt auf langfristigen Dokumentarprojekten. In ihren Arbeiten erforscht sie die Beziehung zwischen Mensch und Natur. Für ihr Projekt „Wegwerfware“ erhielt sie 2024 den FEP European Book Award.
(EN) Sara Affolter is a photographer from the Solothurn region who specialises in long-term documentary projects. In her work, she explores the relationship between humans and nature. She was awarded the FEP European Book Award in 2024 for her project “Wegwerfware”.

(DE) „Fragments of Nature“ zeigt die verletzliche Seite der Tierwelt und hinterfragt unser Verständnis von Natur. Die in der Wildtierstation Landshut entstandene Serie erzählt von den Spuren menschlicher Eingriffe und dem, was von intakten Lebensräumen bleibt.
(EN) “Fragments of Nature” reveals the vulnerable side of the animal world and challenges our understanding of nature. The series, created at the Landshut Wildlife Centre, explores the traces of human intervention and what remains of intact habitats.

(DE) Thomas Stauffer entdeckte 2002 seine Leidenschaft für die Unterwasserwelt. Nach Hunderten von Tauchgängen rund um den Globus hält er in seinen Bildern die Schönheit, Artenvielfalt und Faszination der Meere fest.
(EN) Thomas Stauffer discovered his passion for the underwater world in 2002. Having completed hundreds of dives around the globe, he captures the beauty, biodiversity and fascination of the oceans in his photographs.

(DE) Die Arbeiten reduzieren die Unterwasserwelt auf Formen, Licht und Bewegung. In Schwarz-Weiss entstehen emotionale, fast abstrakte Bilder, die den Blick auf Strukturen und Kontraste lenken.
(EN) The works reduce the underwater world to shapes, light and movement. In black and white, they create emotional, almost abstract images that draw the eye to structures and contrasts.

(EN) He has been devoted to photography for over 30 years. His main focus is on landscape photography, in which he captures the play of light, the weather and the atmosphere of the natural world.

(DE) Die Serie zeigt isolierte Bäume in der norwegischen Landschaft – jeweils als Positiv und Negativ. So entstehen zwei Sichtweisen desselben Motivs und ein Spiel mit Wahrnehmung, Gegensätzen und Interpretation.
(EN) The series depicts isolated trees in the Norwegian landscape – each shown as both a positive and a negative. This creates two perspectives on the same subject and plays on perception, contrasts and interpretation.

(DE) Sepp Köppel fotografiert seit den 1970er-Jahren und beschäftigt sich seit 2006 intensiv mit den Möglichkeiten des Scanners. Seine Arbeiten wurden national und international ausgestellt. Er ist Ehrenmitglied von Photosuisse.
(EN) Sepp Köppel has been taking photographs since the 1970s and has been exploring the possibilities of the scanner in depth since 2006. His work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally. He is an honorary member of Photosuisse.

(DE) Die Motive stammen aus dem eigenen Garten und wurden gescannt sowie digital bearbeitet. Die Serie zeigt Pflanzen in unterschiedlichen Wachstumsstadien – vom Frühlingsaustrieb bis zum Herbst.
(EN) The images were taken in my own garden and have been scanned and digitally edited. The series depicts plants at various stages of growth – from spring sprouting through to autumn.

(DE) Nach der Matur studierte ich an der SfG Basel und der Fachklasse für Fotografie der ZHdK, ergänzt durch Weiterbildungen in Cultural Media und Erwachsenenbildung. Über 20 Jahre unterrichtete ich Fotografie an der Klubschule Basel. Heute bin ich als selbstständige Fotografin und Photocoach tätig und begleite Menschen auf ihrem fotografischen Weg.
(EN) After completing my A-levels, I studied at the SfG Basel and the photography programme at the ZHdK, supplemented by further training in cultural media and adult education. I taught photography at the Klubschule Basel for over 20 years. Today, I work as a freelance photographer and photography coach, supporting people on their photographic journey.

(DE) Für diese Serie fotografierte ich erstmals Wildblumen aus meinem eigenen Garten. Die Bilder zeigen, wie viel Schönheit im Vertrauten steckt – man muss nur den Blick dafür öffnen.
(EN) For this series, I photographed wildflowers from my own garden for the first time. The pictures show just how much beauty there is in the familiar – you just have to open your eyes to it.

His work has won numerous international awards, including at the ‘Wildlife Photographer of the Year’ and the ‘Siena Photo Awards’, and has also received several awards in Switzerland.

(EN) ‘A World of Shapes and Colours’ depicts the Earth from a bird’s-eye view as an abstract composition of lines, textures and colours. The aerial photographs reveal how landscapes become works of art and unveil the hidden beauty of nature.

(DE) Interessiere mich seit der Jugend für Fotografie und machte früh erste Erfahrungen mit Analog-Spiegelreflexkameras. 2006 Wiedereinstieg mit Digital-Kompaktkamera und fotografiere aktuell mit einer Sony Systemkamera.
(EN) I’ve been interested in photography since my youth and had my first experiences with analogue SLR cameras at an early age. In 2006, I got back into photography with a digital compact camera and currently take photos with a Sony mirrorless camera.

(EN) This series showcases the fascinating shapes and colours of glacial sand at the Tiefengletscher near the Albert Heim Hut. Formed by ice, water and rock, the images reveal the geological diversity of the Furka region.

(DE) Rahel Zuber ist diplomierte Kommunikationsdesignerin HF mit Fachrichtung Fotografie aus Zürich. Sie setzt sich intensiv mit verschiedenen Techniken und Stilen der Fotografie auseinander. Neben der digitalen Fotografie hat sie eine Vorliebe für die analoge Fotografie entwickelt und experimentiert gerne mit verschiedenen Filmen und Entwicklungsprozessen.
(EN) Rahel Zuber is a qualified communication designer (HF) specialising in photography, from Zurich. She explores various photographic techniques and styles in depth. As well as digital photography, she has developed a passion for analogue photography and enjoys experimenting with different films and development processes.

(DE) Die Serie thematisiert die Folgen von Streusalz für Umwelt und Landschaft. In Schnee und Salz eingelegte Filme verändern die Bilder – Konturen verschwimmen, Kristalle entstehen und das Vertraute wirkt plötzlich fremd.
(EN) The series explores the impact of road salt on the environment and the landscape. Films immersed in snow and salt transform the images – contours become blurred, crystals form, and the familiar suddenly seems alien.
