During the course of 25 years, he built up Light + Byte AG in Zurich, a small company with up to 35 employees, which he had no problem selling in 2017. Light + Byte became a leading supplier of products in the professional photo and video industries, and is well known for its excellent training courses and information events.

In his function as CEO and owner, he was able to draw on his commercial training which he had originally absolved at a bank. This basis, coupled with a good portion of willingness to take risks, as well as a lucky hand in detecting new trends and products, led to Light + Byte being so successful.
